New year 2012

As well as lots of work getting ready to send work out. AAF in March and GX will have a large stand and just four artists so hope to get my biggest ever showing at AAF London Battersea Park, I am sure they can get you tickets if you ask them.
Also getting ready to send work for a three person show at a fantastic new Gallery for me in Surrey McAlister & Thomas and have been taken on as one of their stable of artists which include David Atkins an artist whose work  I actually have on my wall and a peice hidden away as we swapped years ago. Also have to get work ready for show in Leeds Gallery with famous artist Tom Wood thats in March and will post details nearer the time. In the meantime here is some new work.

Battered and bruised

Still working as hard as ever and getting much more self critical as to when a peice is finished or just needs to be painted over. Threw out over 500 works recently trying to more ruthless about quality.
Painted over old work for last two years, must have painted over 300 or more and still more to do.
This week I painted these well more but only these are being kept rest tweeked or painted over AGAIN! exhausting but hey I still love it. peace!

After much soul searching the last two weeks has seen me withdraw my work from seven galleries and more to do in the coming months. A brave or foolish thing to do is yet to be revealed.
Below are some recent pieces. I am now back in the studio and been exploding with paint a right messy affair I can assure you. So I will post the results soon still drying and still to decide if any good.
I am being much harder on what is good enough and what isn't ie editing and now some of the work has as many as five paintings underneath, more sometimes.
These are a mixture of outdoor work slightly touched up and studio work, feeling very unsure about what to do but completely contradicting on previous enteries now find myself back in the studio being totally wild just can't help myself. But I do think its good to try different things and will continue to work on plein air and studio work and work from imagination.
