still summer

So out on hills and into the countryside with me heavy rucksack and laundry bag covering me box carrying all my small paintings, oh yes what a life very hard work but really rewarding when it goes well. Here are some recent pieces.

back to work

Been unable to work for quite a while but pleased to be working again. More focused and sure about direction. I love the sheer physical quality of paint so that's what I am trying to get across. Recent work below. And don't forget GX show is still on for another week.

GX Gallery show " Albion"

This years show at GX Gallery the rather splendid hidden Gem in Camberwell opens with a private view on Friday 6th July at 7pm and everyone is invited!
I have titled the show Albion because I wanted it to be about England but didn't want to sound patriotic.
Its celebrating the English Landscape which I love, but one doesn't choose where one is born so I still struggle with elements of national pride. You should be proud of your own choices not ones that were made for you.
Green, lush and beautiful nothing else comes close to the English Landscape and I hope this show conveys some of that beauty. Below are the works in the show. Please do come along and see the show I will be there on the Friday 6th July but only then so pop along and say hello.
